Couple’s Retreat

I just watched the movie Couple’s Retreat, and I can say that it is really nice. It’s supposed to be romantic comedy, but I found it ENLIGHTENING.

Four couples went to this island called Eden, where the “couple’s retreat” is taking place. The island is majestic. Lush greeneries, clear blue ocean, and five star treatment all the way. The three couples were just there to accompany their couple friends, who were considering divorce, but wanted to make sure it was what they wanted, thus attending this retreat. Four different couples, four different relationship types, and I’m sure for those who are in a relationship, you can find one that you can relate to. I did.

To make a long story short, this retreat not only made the couple who wanted the divorce to finally find the answer that they were looking for, but the others learned valuable lessons as well. There is no perfect relationship, but it is a two-way street. And at the end of the day, no one can make it work for you. Not your therapist or whoever. It will be both of you, if you both WANT to make it work and if you’re both WILLING to do the things that should be done in order to make it work. It’s not a smooth ride..but hey..who wants to grow old alone anyway?

Melissa Cantiveros on the Bottom Line

I like tonight’s episode of The Bottomline with Boy Abunda. The special guest was Melissa Cantiveros, Big Winner of the recently concluded Pinoy Big Brother Double Up. This girl is extremely honest, and she says exactly what’s on her mind. She has quite a personality, and in her eyes I saw the goodness of her heart. She was able to answer all of Boy Abunda’s questions frankly, and she showed the reason she won the PBB challenge is because she is a REAL person. I’m sure any of us could relate to her, whether her desire to give her family a better life, whether the feeling of being outcast because you don’t look good enough.. Her life is that like a lot of other Filipinos, which is why she captured millions of people’s hearts.

Mabuhay ka, Melai!

Supernatural Season 6?

Me and my Bubby have just finished all five seasons of the Supernatural series..and I can’t wait to watch season six! Five seasons aren’t enough because I can’t get enough of the Winchester Brothers. Yes, fighting evil and Lucifer is too fictitious, but heck, I love a little bit of fiction in my all too real life. So, I hope that there IS a season six because I can’t seem to find it anywhere.. And I would really like to keep watching their adventures. Yes, I admit. This has become an addiction. More addicting than Facebook, in fact! LOL!

Don’t they look absolutely gorgeous? *sigh*
