Garden of Love

A lot of people I know are now going into the hobby of… “gardening”.  Maybe it’s because prices of vegetables sky rocket during the rainy season, or maybe it’s just because we’re getting more aware of what we can do in our own backyards.  Whatever it is, we have also jumped the bandwagon and planted some seeds of our own.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one with a green thumb.  In our family, the lucky ones are my brother, my nephew and my 3-year old niece. From eggplants (that even our neighbors beg for us to share) to watermelons and my niece’s cantaloupe seedlings, we sure can save a lot if buying what we normally take for granted. I love that they’re planting fruits since it’s both healthy and perfect during summer. I can almost imagine the cantaloupe shake that we’re about to have soon!

Because these kids take their “gardening” (aka farming) seriously, we might as well create a real gnome garden for them. Gnomes will be a cool addition to our garden and at the same time, we have had a fancy for gnomes since we were little because of the movie “Gnome Mobile”. But for me, I think the best name for their garden is the Garden of Love since everything these kids planted, and every little fruit or vegetable they sowed were all out of love.

Swimming for Summer

One popular activity during summer is swimming. Whether it be in pools or in the beach, a lot of people go for a swim as a get away from the scorching heat.

Taking swimming classes is a big hit because it’s the perfect time for children to learn how on a regular basis, even everyday, since school is out. The problem with swimming this year though (since a couple of parents I know enrolled their kids) is that the weather is particularly chilly during late afternoons.

Depending on where kids are enrolled, some facilities have a pool heat pump to make sure that children do not get cold especially during their lessons.  Although classes at these facilities may be a bit costly than regular ones in villages and community areas, for sure it’s worth it especially to those who enroll infants and toddlers.

Individuality

Sometimes someone else is in the room with me. Regardless of what they want to do, use the laptop or watch something on the TV/DVD, I let them, as long as I can still listen to my music.

Lately though it’s been a little hard since their “sounds” interfere with mine. Either they’re volume is way up or my headphones might not be in great shape anymore. I mean I’ve had them for years since I got my iPod so maybe it is time for a change?

Because I only change them when I need to, I’m looking for behringer headphones for sale. Buying great quality headphones will definitely benefit me since it’s a mix of sounds here in my room and I for one still want to maintain my individuality.
