Songs of Life

Being in love opens a lot of new emotions, especially to young ones. My teen-brother is currently in love and this feeling of euphoria which always has him thinking of new ideas on how to express his feelings.

Thankfully he’s also a musician, using and old guitar he found in our storage. My sisters tell me that he’s been strumming and humming a lot lately which makes me think that he’s probably composing his own songs to express his emotions.

Him being a vocalist in his high school group, I’m thinking of getting him a digital recorder soon. Maybe he can record his songs, those that represent the events in his life, and later on work on it and make it into real music. Maybe he can fulfill his dream of being a full-time artist/singer/musican/composer as soon as he graduates from college.

Time to Try Something New

Growing up, I’ve never been one to wear perfume or cologne. Maybe it’s because I didn’t really see a need for it because we didn’t have to attend a lot of formal events.

Green Tea by Elizabeth ArdenBut at this stage in my life, fragrances seem to be of a new interest to me. Attending meetings, presentations, various training and conferences make me realize how important it is to “freshen up” before diving into deep conversation with bosses and clients.

My current addiction is Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden. Green Tea is perfect for easy afternoon meetings or just spending the day lazily with friends and loved ones. It’s just great for everyday wear. I’ve had a chance to try out her other lines as well and am considering getting another for more “formal” events.

A Perfect Valentine Day

Waking up with roses on the pillow beside mine and breakfast ready to be lavished in bed. The husband and little girl waiting by the bedside to greet “Happy Valentine’s Day!”, and a day full of fun family activities, what else could be more perfect?

Well, aside from the sumptuous dinner of top sirloin steaks and assorted fresh seafood at one of the posh restaurants, the only thing missing is dessert.  For dessert, with a little girl in tow, the perfect close to a perfect Valentine day is  drive-thru ice cream in a cone.

Ah, sounds heavenly… if only.  If only I didn’t wake up to find out that it was a magical dream.  But in fairness, I did have a great day with the little one.  Hubby also came home early with a surprise from the little one.  It was indeed a Perfect Valentine Day.
