What to give for Christmas

Since it’s Thanksgiving, it’s also that time of the year for me to realize that Christmas is just around the corner. It’s easy finding a gift for kids, that’s actually a no-brainer. What’s hard is finding tokens for the adults. Sometimes I think that they have almost everything so why give them something they already have?

I was browsing online for unique gifts when I landed on a site for customizing coins. This is actually a great idea because I’ll be sure that no one else (aside from those I give it too) will have the exact same coin… well, unless they order for the same exact design from the supplier.

It can be used as a commemorative piece or decor, a paperweight, or maybe they can even start a coin collection. Sounds exciting, right? Now I got to think of a design that’ll make it unique for our family. Want to try having a customized coin too?

Costumes for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is coming up and I know a lot of families take this time to bond together.  Some even fly miles just to be with their loved ones for Thanksgiving.  It’s not just about dinner but it is one day in the year when you all take a moment to realize all your blessings for the year.

Because it’s a once a year experience, I actually thought that maybe, to make it a bit more interesting, family members should come in costumes.  Yes, I know costumes are used for Halloween or sometimes even Christmas, but since those holidays are more often than not spent with friends, why not have one more day in the year when all the family could have fun in costumes?

I know kids would love it, and it won’t cost too much since you can re-use you costumes from Halloween.  Makes me think, if we push through with this idea, what costume would I choose?  Maybe I can get myself a nurse costume since it’s easily available, or a clown costume just to make kids feel at ease over dinner. What do you think?
