Weekend retreat

Don’t you just love a lazy, laid-back weekend retreat? I do because it’s time well-spent with my family and loved ones.

Last weekend was very, very slow for us. We had so much fun playing simple games in the house, and doing chores together. Nothing beats a relaxing afternoon listening to relaxing music from our stereo speakers. I like days like this because it makes me realize what I have in life. It makes me realize what I’m thankful for even though we all go through some financial difficulties. It makes me realize that this is what I live for, my family.

My eyes got the better of me yet again

I thought staying indoors and minimizing my exposure to sunlight would cure my astigmatism but it seems it hasn’t. I only go out during the weekends with family and it’s the only time I really stay out in the sun.

Last weekend, I couldn’t help but squint because the sunlight’s glare was becoming unbearable. I think it’s time for me to buy myself a pair of Persol sunglasses. My sister said it helped her a lot when she was working the graveyard shift. Well, I mean not while working, but when she goes home during the day. Because her eyes were tired throughout the night, her eyes couldn’t take the sunlight when she leaves for home.

Oh well, maybe it’s just because I haven’t had my check-up for a couple of years now. Maybe it’s my astigmatism or maybe I need correction glasses. All I know is I need a pair of sunglasses then have my eyes checked asap. It’s really frustrating not being able to enjoy the outdoors when I can.
